Novestas fabrik är från 1930-talet när skofabrikören Jan Antonin Bata började tillverka dessa klassiska sneakers av naturgummi och bomull i den lilla staden Partizánske i Slovakien. Novesta är ett av få europeiska bolag som fortfarande tillverkar sina skor på samma maskiner och med samma metoder som när det grundades för över åttio år sedan. En stor del av arbetet utförs för hand.
